April: The Kalachuchi Project

The Kalachuchi Project is The Fiore’s very first campaign since their online launch in March 2020. This is to be held in the month of April, just in time for the beginning of Spring in different parts of the world. The Kalachuchi Project can be imagined as the first step in fulfilling The Fiore’s tagline, “Soon, you will be in full bloom”, with self-acceptance being the main focus of the project.
It is named after the Filipino term for Plumeria flowers, as these flowers symbolize positivity and new beginnings. The objective of this project is to promote self-acceptance by first acknowledging and embracing one’s external flaws, as it is an essential first step to accepting oneself.
Our models were asked to take a bare-faced portrait of themselves right after a bath, for this is when we feel the most vulnerability. Afterwards, flowers will have to be drawn on the parts that they face insecurities with to create a beautiful flower patch.
Everyone is encouraged to join our April 2020 Campaign.
1. Take a bare-faced selfie
2. Decorate your bare face with flowers by placing them on the parts you face insecurities with.
3. Please tag us at @thefioremag once you do.
Soon, you will be in full bloom.
